We all got bundled up and went to the beach. The national park gates are not attended by anyone during the off season, so we drove right in. It was beautiful!

Ella and Grace were strapped on with Bijorns, Mac was wearing his matching raincoat and rain boots. It was very windy, but we were all glad to have gotten out. It was a great cure for cabin fever. Today was the first day of sunshine since we got here. It's looking like this weekend will be great weather too!

Kelli and Mac were stomping in the waves while I was trying to get creative with some new pictures. We picked up stones and shells, kicked balls and explored the shoreline.

Oh yeah - one more thing. We are very excited because tomorrow is the first day of lobster season. The fishermen have been getting ready to depart for a couple of weeks now... We watched as their boats headed out to lay the traps. Hopefully they'll come back with some nice large ones for our seafood dinner tomorrow.
